Neat presentation! You have the scale of the gnome just right for those tiny hosta.

Since I keep mine in pots, the minis need special consideration. So I keep multiples in wide bowls where I can cluster 4 or more together with a watering source in the middle.

Last winter I lost several of the small guys because the pots dried out too badly and the squirrels dug into the soil and the crown dried up. Using the super hot cayenne (90,000 heat units) works to keep out the squirrels, but it sometimes makes a mess of the plant and potting mix. Whatever works, I use it.

And, when a bowl is looking really fine, I bring it up to the deck to display beneath the umbrella-covered wrought iron table. Best way I can figure to watch Tiny Tears open those teensy flowers, which are precious!

Looks like you have room for more minis in that spot.

I'm not sure if it was your pots, but I remember someone posting pics last summer of her (his?) minis all gathered together, which was partly the motivation for me to start this little mini site. I didn't put my mouse ears there, though, since I can enjoy them where they are right now, though that may change.

I really like your mini vase in the second picture! I hope to have a mini collection like yours one day.

I think I know which pictures you mean, and it was not me. But I may have a photo of it, which I'll be tracking down. They sort of raised a bed up like yours is, and all those minis were perfect!
A lot of mouses in them, I do believe. And maybe a well rounded mound of Blue Cadet? hmmm, wish my memory was better.

On the day you realize your garden is going to explode one day, that's the day you'll get more minis.....:)
