Hosta gardening without tree roots

What a pleasure it is to grow hostas without having to contend with tree roots. I planted Linda Sue three years ago. it was really easy to prepare a planting hole and pop her in.

According to the Fransen Hostas website, she's a sport of Frances Williams, is supposed to get 24" to 28" high and is a slow grower. I'm really impressed with her. She's already a bit over 20" high, has dinner- plate-sized leaves and the edges don't burn.

She's not quite unfurled yet in this picture. Once she is, I plan on adding a small to medium to the right of her in front of a big limbed up juniper. She's facing east. Any suggestions as to what you would plant with her would be appreciated.

Thanks for looking.
