The two little leaves looking like the big ones

I'm tempted to dig it up and see if I can work the roots loose to see if they are two separate plants. But I also hate to disturb something that's establishing itself.

Sometimes leaf color or rim change is normal for the same hosta. My Mama Mia, which did not survive the winter did this. New growth would come in with green rims and then change to cream as it progressed. So it's probably still the same plant I would say.

I just noticed some new growth this morning on my Captain Kirk which has yellow/white centers, but the new growth is all shades of darker and lighter green--not even a hint of yellow/white. I'm assuming that is normal and that as the new growth matures (and gets more light exposure) it will lighten up to match the color combination of the older growth.

In other words, I think I agree with Brandy--it's probably still the same plant.
