My Order from Land of the Giants

As some of you know, I placed an order on Wednesday night at 8:00 pm for a Lakeside Cindy Cee, Spartacus and Goodness Gracious.

Well I can't believe it! They came today! All big plants with massive root systems. Cindy Cee has 2 eyes, Goodness Gracious has 3 eyes and Spartacus has 5 big fat eyes. They also gave me a free Hellebore called Night Coaster which has a black flower. Wow! I have never grown those before, but it looks interesting.

I have to run to Lowe's because I have no potting soil and did not expect them to be here today.

This is the first time I have ordered with them and I am very pleased with the plants and the super quick shipping.

Last week I also had that good experience again with Land of the Giants hosta farm, got hosta 'Millenium', 'Holy Mole', 'Yellow River', 'One Man's Treasure' and 'Designer Genes'. Jeffery Miller also added free hosta 'Miss Ruby', 'American Hero' and a hellebore. The hosta I got last year from them look like mature plants this spring.

Large plants at the beginning are a million % better to start with than little plants just out of tissue culture.

Your ladies and gents are trouble makers. I just placed an order for 4 from Jeff Miller,after reading this post. I was not supposed to order more hostas this year (part of new year resolution).....

My last 3 hostas were from him last fall as single division. They emerged as 2 eyes this spring but size is very big. Sagae is now ~ 20 inches tall and 2 feet wide.

Very happy with their mature size plants (even if they are divisions) and service. Hope you will enjoy your hostas.
