Well, it's over, that's the end...

Apparently, I am wholly and officially hooked on hostas. I guess I've been in denial up until now, but let me tell you what just occurred to clinch it:

I was perusing the forum and I noticed over on the side one of the pics that they use to draw you to another forum. It was this one:

Instead of thinking "wow, look at how beautifully that is done--gorgeous rock" (which would have been what any normal person would have thought)------oh, no, my absolute first thought was "man, look at all of the area that they could have put hostas instead of rock. That could have held a whole lot of hostas."

OMG, there is no hope for me. Run, save yourself!

So, when was the moment that you realized that it was over for you, LOL?

Not my cup of tea. My first thought was the owner of this yard must have nice nails lol. I'll keep my hosta beds and gardeners hands.

When I see the houses on the Home & Garden show, my first thought is How many Hosta can they get in that yard? or Not much shade there!

Kate, lol, that is too funny! I was out last night after a pouring rain, weeding (best time, you know) and I can't imagine that owner ever doing that!

Rosie, didn't even think about shade, but you're right! Course, you can always create that, in your planning.

I knew I had the hosta bug pretty bad, but I didn't REALLY KNOW how bad until this------

I was bringing my mature, potted GE into the garage at nights this spring. I woke up one night (at about 3 a.m.) and wondered "had I remembered to bring it in last night?" Shall I get up and check? That would be crazy wouldn't it---me in my pyjamas and all!!!? What if one of my neighbors saw me? So I ruminated for a while . . . and then snuck out the back door and checked. (Couldn't go out the front door. That would have been too noisy!) All was well. I had forgotten I had put it in the garage last evening. Went to sleep peacefully!

Now I knew I had it bad!

Yeah, that area could use some trees...get rid of a lot of that stone/rock area...make a nice big koi pond out of that pool...it's got some potential, I suppose : )
