This spring was very unusual - cold and wet - so many of my plants took their sweet time emerging. There was one row of hosta I kept watching over to make sure they survived the winter. All but 3 came up, so I assumed those 3 died. I planted 3 divisions of Orange Marmalade in those spots.
Well, guess who finally showed up - amongst all the OM even. Those 3 missing hosta! Oh boy, now I've got a mistake to clean up. I don't even know what those 3 are because they were part of a large batch I bought on clearance at a store last summer when they were all marked down to $1. So I took home all the hosta they had left, which was about 13. Here it is, almost the middle of June, and my last 3 hosta are finally emerging. Talk about a weird spring.
