Could this be Golden Scepter, Sweet Tater Pie, or Spotlight? Has 14/15 veins, leaf 8 3/4" x 11 1/4", blooming now and it is light purple.

Could possibly be Spotlight. It's definitely not the other two. Why are those the only choices? Do you know where the Library is?

Why is it planted in a gravel pit.

These choices were from my old hosta list and I can not find the hosta. I went to the library but only found the pictures and not the description. It is in the gravel pit because I have hosta seedlings coming up in my gravel driveway w/o help from me. So, I am experimenting to see if gravel helps/hurts with help from me. Thank you Steve for the ID. (Ken says to throw them on the driveway)

At the Library there is most times a "my hostas database" that appears with the first pic that you can click on to get a description.

Otherwise there is a Registration link (below) from the American Hosta Society that will do the trick.

Babka, thanks for this info, it sure does help.

bkay, leaves aren't big enough to be S&S, I don't think. I have a S&S that is much bigger.
