I read someplace years ago that you have to keep dividing it to keep the narrow streak in the center of the leaf. Good luck!

My mature 'Middle Ridge' is a lot more distinctive with an oh-so-slightly wider streak of white in the center of each leaf. It's been an incredibly robust plant from O'Brien Hosta and this year grew to ginormous proportions.

seems i was right ... bob named it after his son robert .. both being keller and all

I had one. The white stripe disappeared the first year. It did not return the following year. The plant went to the compost pile. Phil

Here's mine from last year, about 1/3 of the leaves were solid. This year it was almost entirely green, I think only one eye had the white stripe. I got rid of it last week.
