I got this lovely soft gold this spring. I guess I was thinking about Delta Dawn, which is now featured in another thread.
Not to hijack that one, I'm putting this DD into its own slot.

It arrived April 11 with my Purple Passions and Verna Jeans. Bridgewood ships in small nursery pots.

May 2 2014 it was in a different pot and looked like this.

May 29 2014 it looked like this. Some great new leaves coming in over the last 4 weeks.

June 18, 2014 yesterday it was getting several colors in it. It is sitting sort of behind a Japanese maple to protect it from late afternoon sun. And beneath a little birdbath from noonish sun.

I'm very pleased with my accidental purchase, knowing little about it. If it is gold, I'm tempted.

Do you have one of these? How does it grow for you? Mine came from Bridgewood Gardens.

I'm heading back this weekend to Bridgewood's last open house. I'd be happy to ask Chick about them and if there are any full grown versions get some photos for you. :)

I'm trying hard not to look at it lol. It sure is pretty, oh fine twist my arm and add it to my list. :P

Kate, it is a pretty thing.

Be sure to take a look at Chick's Fried Bananas while you are there. It will soon be in bloom and the white flowers are about 4 inches long at least. Fragrant of course. It will go sort of green but in the sunny spots hold the gold tones (like Squash Casserole does) if given plenty of moisture.

And find a Doubled Up while you are there! It has 6 inch blooms as large as Mama plantaginea, blooms quite readily. They say it is a compact plant, but the leaves on mine are looking pretty big this year. Hope I'm giving it enough sun to bloom again. It is definitely a star in my garden.
