My Moonstruck did not come back up this year either. I was learning about white centered hosta last year, decided one or two was about enough.
If you want to see a strong growing white centered, which turns a bit green in the middle as summer progresses, then look at White Elephant. I lost Eskimo Pie not strong enough to show but a tiny leaf this year, and I'm not replacing it.
Nor shall I replace Moonstruck. I have the Moon Shadow hosta, and that is good enough for me. It's the one with yellow in the middle. I like its name for sure.
Moonstruck and white elephant are both very pretty. Curious about the frailty of some white centered hostas, though. Why do some of them- like Loyalist, for example, not seem so touchy?
