Oh I like that one a lot! How old is yours?? Available at only 1 of the 3 places I normally find my hostas for $16 (not bad!) and this is how they describe it:
Large, semi-upright mound of blue-green foliage. Average mound size is 28"H x 60"W but as large as 44"H x 86"W. Leaves ovate-shaped, cupped, moderately corrugated and of thick substance. Lavender flowers on scapes over 6 feet tall.
I think I might just have to adopt her....(I flipped your pic.)
I've found that this better without much direct sun.
I split mine when I moved 2.5 years ago, it didn't appreciate it much, nor the sunny location it was moved to. It almost completely faded away.
Last summer I moved it to a shady spot, this year it has come back well, and is even putting out a flower, (which are one of the nicer hosta flowers, beautiful ivory white.)
This pic was taken before I moved it. It was a NOID for years to me. Ken nailed it last year for me.
I got one h.'Tenryu' 2 years ago from Ferncreekgarden. That plant has become bigger and more eyes. I like its blue and cupped upright leaves. Now I look forward that it gets the size HH shows. 'Tenryu' seems to translate to 'Heavenly Dragon' from the Japanese. Bernd
