I was away for two weeks and it has been another week since my return and what a difference in the garden! People on here talk about the 'leap' year - well this is definitely it for some of mine, this is our fourth summer at this house.

I thought I had left plenty of space between them but a few are definitely overcrowding and in one place the heuchera is blocking the view of the hostas.

Also, Lakeside Beach Captain experienced some root competition with a large Mugo pine, so I extricated it and disentangled the poor thing's roots. It is currently in a pot in recovery.
