Oh, Sandy, thanks for sharing...makes me wish I was there! I'll bet you were in hosta heaven! I love the flagstone path.

These are beautiful, Sandy. I really love the first pic in which the hosta and lawn are separated by a few feet of flatstone, with the stone grading up to the raised area of the hosta bed.

What looks llike a flagstone path is actually a shallow dry creek for drainnage, she lives on a hill and had quite a water washing problem. She solved it beautifully! Here is one of two little bridges over it.

Nice lay out. I like the moss growing on the wall below Blue Angel. The hardscape definitely feels like part of the garden.

When I saw your Blue Angel picture I almost got up, walked to the back door,opened the screen...Shook my fist
and said " Blue Angel, why art thou so slow !"

Well possibly a little over dramatic...

Oh my, Sandy! The one which struck me was the steeple, out in the middle of all those hosta "trees".....it is the same effect that I FEEL when I look at my pot of August Moon/Midas Touch with a bird house steeple in the middle of it. Here....

Where on earth did she find such a garden treasure as a steeple? I am in awe!

She is a very talented lady with a great eye for composition. Don't know where she found that artifact but she is an inveterate flea market addict and has all kinds of intriguing little surprises tucked in among her plants.

All I can say is WOW how fortunate you are to be able to walkabout this lovely space. It must be heavenly to have nearby other hosta growers with creative urges.

Blue Angel and the "moss covered stone" retaining wall caught my eye as well. Then I read leafwatcher's post...too "dramatic" ?... naaw, no way...
