I grow Spritzer and mine has red on the bottom 1/3 of the petioles. I don't know about Pineapple Poll, as I don't grow it.

Here's a picture of the full plant. The leaves drape over, so I never noticed the red petioles until I read your post and went out to check.

It looks as if there MIGHT be a red tinge on the base of the petioles for Pineapple Poll, but it's too dark to go check right now. What little there is wouldn't sway me. There are a lot more hostas out there with more red.

But I do love Pineapple Poll for handling the sun so well. It's nice and full too.

My Pineapple Poll,is just green all the way,and I have a really big one.I don't hve Spritzer. Phil
