Size Matters

Sometimes it's difficult to estimate the size of a hosta when viewing a photo of it on its own. I thought this was a good example to show just how large Elegans' leaves are, bookended by a Fortunei Aureomarginata on the right and a Striptease on the left. This is at the beginning of my Hosta Walk adjacent to 7 stone steps.

In a few years 'Striptease' will be close to the size of 'Elegans'.

RE: Size Matters

Wow, in that case I had better move the stairs!

RE: Size Matters

I'd never get away with planting an Elegans that close to anything! I am glad space is not yet at a premium for me!

Your striptease has very nice colour.

That's a beautiful Elegans. But, its just a baby. Be prepared to transplant it or its neighbors.

I have a real Elegans and then one from Lowes. I'll have to see which of the two gets huge first.

jonnyb, I love how you have used the large hostas spaced out amongst the trees, they definitely stand out.
