When JOTN reverts to Dee's Golden Jewel

When one eye of Jewel of the Nile reverts, do I need to dig and divide the whole plant or can I simply cut off the leaves of the reverted eye? I already have Dee's Golden Jewel and don't need another one. Nance

From our experience, if you take out all the Pee Dee Gold, you'll never have a mature, big JOTN.

Personally, I've given up. JOTN is so very nice, but only for a short period of time, so I'm too old to put up with it.

i agree with bily..

it will be a life long effort to grow ONLY JOTN ...

and i too.. have given up on dealing with it ... when DG takes over.. that will be the end of the other..

as they say.. hosta are inherently unstable.. and this is a prime example ..
