Hosta of the Day - Independence

Happy Fourth of July. H. Independence is an obvious sport of Revolution, with its green specks on the white margins. And it grows much better than its parent, at least for me. My pic, appropriately, was taken in the twilight's last gleaming.

I'm happy with my baby Independence, in its 2nd season in my garden. The speckles on the leaves sure draws your attention.

Don't have Independence, but I do have Don Rawson's Color Revolt. Below is its picture from mid-June. Don said it likes deep shade, so it's in as much shade as I've found in my garden.
As a sport of Revolution, it was registered in 2010. Tetraploid, strong petioles, short strong scapes, and I'm waiting for the deep purple blooms to show up.
