I agree with Ken: this one looks green rather than blue or even bluish. But what you describe sounds like Pacific Blue Edger. Very neat, symmetrical, low-lying mounds that can approach four feet at maturity.

Blue Cadet (top pic) is blue-green in color. Pearl Lake (bottom pic) is more green and maybe a bit more pointy leaf.....though at times in the season, they look very similar.

I was also thinking the leaves reminded me more of Pearl Lake than Blue Cadet. It can be really hard to tell with all the blue hostas.

This shape, leaf size, and plant habit is one of the most pleasing in the garden. It can fit in anywhere it seems. Your plant is one of this style hosta, and a good example too.

More this year than before, I've observed several which are growing into compact mounds that are simply and totally SWEET looking.

I'll have to look into Pacific Blue Edger and Pearl Lake. They won't take up MUCH space. :)

mocc, I got a couple Pacific Blue Edger from Bridgewood late last year. Cuties! This pic is a little old, so their blooms are almost ready to open.
