My shade Garden.

This is my new hosta garden. I raised a bed around a nice Ranier Cherry Tree (the only shady spot in the new yard.) I moved around 2/3rds of the hostas from my old place (Which was much better for hostas) So some of the plants here are or 6 years old. Most took a hit during the move, but they seem to be bouncing back. I have planted a White Oak, Honey Locust, and a Red Elm, plus a bunch of dogwoods, forsythia, weigelia, to provide some good shade in the future, so for now most of my hostas are taking a bit of a sun beating (at least the younger plants will produce lots o divisions).

What a lovely garden! The colours are pretty with the added heucheras. The right hand corner, longish, white and green edged hosta...is that Cherry Berry with red petioles? It's a biggie and a beauty....as are the rest of them, very attractive.

You have a great eye. I love the juxtaposition of the different shapes of leaves and colors. The heuchie is very pretty too, a perfect counterpoint color to the apparent golden shade in some of the hostas.
