Sky Dancer

I noticed that timhensley posted to say he was acquiring Sky Dancer a while back, but didn't post a photo. This is my year two plant. It was a prominant hosta for sale last year at my local upscale nursery.

This medium size hosta has dark purple petioles (I have to look closely to seem them) and a lovely pie crust edging to the leaves.

Edited to say I sound like an elitist snob. What I meant to say if that I purchased it at a nursery as opposed to a big lot store- well, come to think of it, I've purchased some nice plants at Home Depot. Forgive the senior moment.

I have SkyDancer, arrived from Hallson in 2012. It is not doing much but staying healthy and growing. The photo I attach is from May this year. It is still very blue, and I keep it in the shaded area with my other blues.

Here it is taken this morning, still sprinkling rain.

Oh, you made me look! I have been enjoying the pie crust leaves and had forgotten that Sky Dancer has purple pets.

It was new to me fall 2012 from Hallson and arrived with some long wonderful roots, hence the big ole pot.

Donna, sweetie, never attempt to argue with yourself, because either way, you know who is going to win. :)

Deb, the size of the root ball is always the final consideration when I pick pots for the hosta. The plant invested a lot of energy growing them for some purpose, and I will help achieve that purpose. Stand back, give em room! Hope mine gets the message about rippling the edges. And now I must check the petioles for color too. Gee, I learn something every time I come here.
