Beautiful! What is the purple flowering plant in your picture?

Very nice- the purple is nice splash of color.

I too am dying to know what that purple plant is!

Those were sweet Williams. I have them in my front yard and they kind of went crazy this year. Being bi annuals , when they finished blooming and the seed pods formed, I bent them over back into the clumps and maybe should have took a bunch out because they are crowding the hosta . I have two friends that would like some pieces , Myrle as in one of them. They smell good too! It is my husband's first name but .. I won't go there lol

Sweet Williams...never would have guessed. We grow those here for a short lived perennial. Usually as a biennial; leaves the first year and flowers the second year. I've never seen them in that nice purple color before. It definitely gives your hosta bed the wow factor!

What I did to get these colors was to pick the ones that have the darker flower heads and transplanted just those and then they reseed themselves to bloom every year and now I just thin to what size clump I need( these are too big) I see I missed a lighter one. I was just trying to get away of spending so much on annuals every year.
