RE: Manzo

Well well, you are sure coming up with some rarely seen hosta, HH. Where do you go to so readily "pick up" these rare hosta?

Longissima 'Manzo' is another name for it. From Japan. Interesting color, almost streaked on a couple of leaves.

Here is my species longissima in April, the one on the left. Not sure it will thrive here, but I try out as many species hosta as I can. It is with Golden Tiara and Angel From Montgomery.

RE: Manzo

Here's my Manzo. I found that this hosta loves copious amounts of water. It is in fact in a self watering pot and gets a good sprinkling every day.

RE: Manzo

Thanks, Gary. Moc, our "local" source, 90 miles away, doesn't do mail order, but if you come up here to Michigan I'll take you there, and a few other gems worth the trip.

The Margie's Angel liner given to us by them as a bonus last year is picking up nicely. Their show specimen is some 4' in diameter!
That's where I found Hakumuo last year, oohlala.

Happy Trails!
