Kentucky Coffee tree and hostas

I can't seem to find any info that tells me for sure if I should plant under my Kentucky Coffee tree or not. Has anyone else planted hostas under one? Or know what their root system is like? Thanks! J

Link below has KY Coffeetree roots -- Oblique root system. Examples: Ash, hawthorn, Malus, linden, Pyrus, oaks, ginkgo, Kentucky coffeetree, bald cypress

So I would think that is positive for hostas.

Here is a link that might be useful: Roots

Thanks Paul! I couldn't find it for sure anywhere and wanted to make sure before I started planting a huge bed. Thanks again! J
