I've got Guacamole envy! :-). I'm hoping my gnarled one will produce flower stalks...coming around ever so slooowwwly.

some peeps eat them on a salad ... claim them to be a bit peppery ..

i pull out the stamens ... and carry them around the yard sucking in the fragrance until little is left ... [actually i walked around with a yellow nose before i learned that part ... lol]

plantiginea.. is basically the same flower.. but 6 inches long ...

I have a 4 eye plant with three scapes popping up right now......decided to move it yesterday to a better spot since it looks so nice. Hopefully that wont slow down or stop the blooming process.

Mmmm, very nice. I guess mine are going to act 'normally' this season and bloom in August. They smell like Pez candy to me...No scapes here yet. Can't wait.
