Phil, if that cement is your driveway, I say it is just about ON the driveway not merely hanging over it.

I got one about two weeks ago, and it hasn't skipped a beat, going great guns and is looking so good. Of course, it is a fine member of the plantaginea family of fragrant hosta.

If you can wait until it gets dormant to move it, choose a spot where its good looks, beautiful blooms, and bright color can be seen by folks coming to your front door. It's a "front yard" sort of hosta.
