Dug out 2 solid green eyes from Guacamole

Any idea what it could be now? Solid green - dark on older leaves, little lighter on some young ones. Managed to divide it with roots intact.

Thanks in advance!

It appears to be similar to Fried Green Tomatoes.

You can look up anything like that by going to I just looked up Guacamole on On the top left of the first photo is a link to this database. I clicked the link and it took me to a bunch of info about Guacamole. To the right on that page is a list of all the known sports and progeny of Guacamole. The only one listed as gg (green with a green edge) is FGT. I then looked it up on the hosta library and it seems to be a close match.

Here is a link that might be useful:

Thanks so much, BK- lots of very helpful info there.
I was hoping it might be Fried Green Tomatoes- it's very pretty. Glad it survived the move!

Thanks again!

So now you have a new hosta, do-it-yourself freebie, and Fried Green Tomatos is a nice strong plant.

Rub that hosta leaf again, and maybe you'll get Avocado, or perhaps Stained Glass. Guacamole made some fine looking sports. :)
