Diseased War Paint?

Help! Please tell me if my War Paint is OK or if it's diseased.
If it's not OK, can it be saved, and what should I do? Should I dig it out and put somewhere away from the rest of my Hostas? Should I dump it and the soil around it in the garbage and clean all my tools?
What should I do about the Hostas on either side of it?
