Both are two big eyes. I'm trying to decide if I should plant them as four plants or keep the eyes together for clumping and plant as two. They're not even tangled. They just fell apart into two plants each. What would you do?

Wow, they are quite sturdy looking hostas! I would plant LPP separately as two plants if it was up to me. Liberty, as one clump.

Since you said you eventually plan to line your driveway with them, I would plant them separately now.
I do that often in case I want to divide in the future then I can divide one of them without guilt and let the other one be a specimen plant.

USPS list mine as being in delivery, an hour less than two days after shipping from Naylor, and I live in eastern NY state, must be a world record in being fast and having fresh hostas.

Naylor Creek just about always sends two divisions of each hosta, but they don't send bonus plants. Works for for me either way, I'm happy. Vanessa, I concur. I like to plant them separately in case one doesn't make it. I like that they use the post office rather than UPS.
