There are thousands of hostas and your description is kinda vague.

Can you provide a pic?

What color was the paler streak? green? chartreuse? yellow? cream? white?

What was the dimesion of the leaf? How wide was the margin or center?

Hi Gata, yeah, there are some folks here who are crack shot IDers when shown a photo, but a description is well nigh impossible. Like asking for a rose cultivar by trying to describe the right shade of pink. :)

You could browse around the hosta library and aimlessly look for what you saw, but more likely you'll find dozens more you love first. Once you "notice" hostas, its easy to get pulled in!

Thank you both -- sorry, no picture and I know it was silly of me to ask without more details, but I thought one hosta in particular might jump out at you with my meager description. But, I'll continue to browse and keep my eyes open. Thanks again!
