Wade and Gatton trip

Took a day trip to Wade and Gatton, supposedly the largest collection of hosta in USA. A definite must if you ever have the chance. Luckily only a couple of hours from me, so I make it at least once a year. Here are some pics from his botanical gardens. The hosta are monsters! Some which have never been divided in 20 to even 35 years.

I bought a Clear Fork River Valley here last year. Can't wait for it to look like this, if it ever does!

Gardens are in a hilly area, overlooking the Clear Fork River. Beautiful.

Had to include this Guacamole for Don in Colorado. Have you ever seen one this big?

I've been there once myself. Did you see the famous groundhog Sum and Substance? The only problem I have is they charge by the eye for hostas they sell. Phil

Phil: I missed the monster S&S this time. And yes, I agree they are pricey. That's why I didn't buy anything there yesterday. Actually the ones I was specifically looking for there that were on their website, they didn't have.
