What a neat idea! Too bad I can't participate...CPU crashed, lost 8 years of pics.... . . . . . .you know, of course that showing great growth enhances enabling??? Lol. Glad to see GA's growth as I got a division this month.

Hostanista..I like your display of pics! Cool! Re ES...I have a one-yr. old....i love it and I hope yours perks up for you again...my placement of it was trial and error...it seems to like it where it gets late morning filtered sun, then direct sun from about 3 pm for a cple of hrs. She reminds me of June's leaves a bit...the thickness....good luck with her...she'll bounce back in the spring, right?

Thanks for this thread. It's very informative for newbies like me. (tapping my foot impatiently waiting for my new hostas to leap . . . . . unfortunately, they seem to still be sleeping)

Does give us newbies hope.This is my first year hope mine look as good as yours do in 1 year Don.

Since Squash Casserole has fans on the forum, here is mine in 2012, date is on the picture.

and 2013, still in a pot, and sitting in its usual spot, which it seems to like, with morning sun.

Then here is one I'll love forever. Mama plantaginea, the one who started my addiction to fragrant hosta. I got her in 2010 May. Planted in the ground up in MA, she adjusted to a pot when she came south in winter 2011. Here she is in 2012

and here is Mama plantaginea this summer. She is on the right front.....I repotted her in about May, so she is not as large as she was last year. And, I placed her in a spot with more sunlight too. Note the larger #8 plantaginea which has been in more sun all along.
