There's not enough there to ID it. It's too young/small. If it's a named variety, it could be one of hundreds of yellow hosta. We need a flower, more leaves, the overall shape of the plant - something that would distinguish it from all the other yellow hosta.

If you bought it and know it's a named variety, I'd would suggest you move it to more light.

This is in its second year. I thought it was sunpower or sum and substance. I don't know what either one looks like when young. The leaves are very smooth. It is in full sun. guess I will have to wait for some more leaves.

2nd year???? That doesn't look right. Two leaves in two years?How big was it when you planted it? Can you clear the ground around it and see if it is planted too deeply?

Here is a picture of the same hosta taken last year at the end of June. There were only 2 leaves last year too. Is it even a hosta.

that looks exactly like my little, forgotten 'Sum & Substance' piece which is planted too deep and in too much shade and which I need to dig up and put in a pot, in the sun, to get some energy.
