Indeed. You don't have to exactly be gentle concerning unbinding those big roots. Take the hose and waterblast. That's just what my 'Krossa Regal' root ball looked like last year, too. I even 'brushed' it out with the little hand tiller. The roots were almost three feet long. Or stick your fingers in there and pull a bit if you're having trouble loosening it, like you're getting a knot out of long hair. If it were dormant, I'd say knock/throw it around, but that's a nice crown of foliage. Have fun!

heck yeah, ken. I just finished power-washing that sucker after soaking it for an hour or so. The first hit with the hose hardly made a dent, but after roughing it around a bit I got 'er done.

Invincible had better live up to it's nameplate, because it took more of a beating. It was bound so tightly that there were some not insignificant root casualties in the unwinding process. I figure a good green can grow those roots back in half the time it took me to sort out that mess.

'Invincible' should be A-OK. : )

Very nice! Circling roots notwithstanding, those roots are beauties!! Very nice Liberty et al, Jadie! Great "haul" as they say! I wonder how many eyes will emerge in the spring on all three newbies.
