Good luck with your greenie ID. I'd say depending on its fragrance, it could also be Royal Standard. IF it sets lots of seedpods, you have Royal Standard. BUT, it could be one of several fragrant hosta, all of which are fine and dandy, and you will be a happy gardener having them close by.

I love it when I go out and a fragrance meets me before I get into the hosta space. Cannot beat it.

But, if it's blooming now, measure the blossom from the petiole to the tip of the bloom. Is the pollen yellow or gray or white, and is it how far across the trumpet end of the flower.

I have Doubled Up, and it measure 6" long just like Mama plantaginea, from which it sported. It is as long, but not as wide at the trumpet end. A lot of the fragrant progeny tend to be in the 2-4" range, all lovely, many are white, but also there are lavender ones.....if it was hybridized with a lavender bloomer. Yours seems to be white so probably---if it is fragrant,...it could be a sport.

Good luck getting your ID for this one. Greenies are hard to pin down.

I think it's plantaginea. Let's see that flower in profile with something to judge its size and then we can tell.

Hey, Ken. I got my Doubled Up last year 2012, early on. I got it direct from the man himself, Bob Solberg. So I think it is the real thing.

I did not believe it myself that it was a 6" bloom, but it is. However, the trumpet flare is not as wide as the mama's.
Note though that it is just barely 6" and not a hair more.

Why I like it so much, it is the same relationship to Mama as Aphrodite, and Ming Treasure. And Fragrant Flame too--which I do not have. (I have Fragrant Fire, drats....need FFlame.)
