It certainly looks like sunburn to me. Looks like probably got sited in more sun than it was used to. Even though it was raining, did it get a good, deep watering from you when you planted it? Since it's late in the season, try and drown that little fella. He won't mind. He'll thank you next spring. : )

or it hates you for some reason ... which would be a shock to you .. lol ..

Thank you Don. He got his roots soaked and I drenched the soil while amending it before he was planted. Sunburn, as silly as that is sounding to me, makes sense. Here is a first day pic. A ton of the blue wax has melted off in only 4 days. Had no idea they can get sunburn.

Ken your responses always make me smile. Is there a something I should be doing to minimize transplant shock and the rest of those shocks? Minus the one about me of course, that one just can't be true.
