She was the 4th President of the AHS, I read up on her when I received my OBL for Mother's Day. Quite the lady...google "L hostaphiles" and that should get you started. I really enjoyed reading up on her...and I'm sorry I can't remember the site specifically.

There's a short bio from an older forum post...2007 was the year Mrs. Olive Bailey Langdon passed away....I did a search &found it but can't link it...will try again in a bit.....I just noticed "ilovetogrow" found it. :-)

That's her obituary. It was published in the Birmingham News. I looked using Google, but could not find much. I might try some genealogy links. She seems like a fine woman of her time.

Her hairdo is just like my neighbor's who is 87.

Does she look like a woman of the 60's or what? Then there's all the charitable/church boards she served on. I was a child of the 60's and the women of that era interest me. Lady Bird Johnson was an interesting woman.

She certainly has a beautiful hosta named for her.
