Marilyn Monroe is early sending her flower scapes up! er...sideways...
by at least three weeks compared to last year. I thought I saw a bud poking out, checked and yes, there they were, growing scapes hiding under her white skirts.
Pretty plant, gorgeous flower buds - can't wait to enjoy them when the scapes are fully extended and the first flower opens! Last year it was September 25th by the time a flower opened up.
Do you also have some hosta, or MM that are blooming earlier this year?
