So much better...Deer! (pic. heavy)

We were visited several times last year by deer. High up on their hit list were the fragrant hostas. Although very visible at the front of the house, I just left them as they stood and I didn't bother to switch them out.

At the start of this year, following a few deer sightings just down the road, I sprayed with liquid fence.
However, we haven't seen any since (they are usually quite rare, last year being a complete anomaly!).

So for now... so good!

Absolutely gorgeous! Very happy hostas!

Very nice! I like the second to last pic the best, very good pic. I like feedback on my pics, so thought I'd give the same. Here's hoping the hostas all keep their heads :)

Most of my fragrants look like the first three. Good job, BC.

Very pretty BC. You, definitely, have the magic touch with potted hostas.

Very nice comeback! Where in 8b are you?

Thanks for the kind words of encouragement.

I'd be surprised if these hosta succumb to deer damage after so many weeks, but you never know. Fortunately, they are good growers and seem to have bounced back well. Even after being assailed last year, they started to put out new leaves late August and into September.

I'm located on Vancouver's North Shore - a temperate climate, with lots of rain. Ideal for growing hostas!
