That's what I thought ... but this is the one I think is Moonbeam - and it's in the right place according to my map

Not possible that you divided the original clump, did you?

funnthsun - I've been trying to figure out if that could have been the case, and I just don't see how. The original would have been a tiny little thing (from Hallson), and only two years ago, so it would not have become large enough for me to divide. But they do look amazingly similar, don't they.

Occasionally a small two eyed hosta has fallen apart as I unpacked it, or I was sent two single eyed plants. Maybe you were shipped a pair. Sure looks like the same plant to me.

A hosta expert I am not but the hostas in those two pictures you posted are the same thing.

Yeah, I stand outside and look at them and they look identical to me too. Well, I think I will give it the A. Moonbeam designation with an asterisk.

its extremely hard ... to ID young babes ...

though they may look identical right now.. they MIGHT be different in 5 years ...

that said.. they look the same to me ... at this point in time ...

AM should not be that shiny ... IMHO ... BUT!!! ... its late summer .. and it does wash off ... but i would look for it to be a bit more glaucous in spring ....
