I love hosta's but the duessie wins!

Are those On Stage in the first photo? Love the second photo with all the leaf colors. I assume it's a group of hosta's with lots of reverting? Great effect.

Mac, you know, my first thought was reversions as well, but I think it was two different hosta very cleverly planted. It sure looked that way. I was afraid to dig into it, I might get banned for life. My grandson wasn't very interested so I had to hustle by, but there were no labels on it or they were buried under the foliage. It was well done and intentional, definitely.

Nice pics. Of cars and hostas. At first I was thinking reversions and sports, too. Nice plantings they have there.

There are more plantings of hosta all over their 100 acres. I estimate maybe 20% are established and 80% are new sparse plantings until they fill in like the photos. I have posted a link for any (surely many) that may not know about the museum which was developed from an estate owned by a guy named Dexter who hybridized thousands of different rhododendrons which are spectacular in the Spring when in bloom.
