Sandy, I held my breath when I first saw your pic! Wow, it's so exotic looking!
Did you get it as a bulb/corm/rhizome or already growing? It would be fantastic to have a lot of this one was my first thought! Beautiful..thank you for sharing it.

I got it from the Missouri Wildflower nursery, 3 or 4 years ago. I think I got lucky because they haven't listed it since. It is very fragrant. Not sure what the northern zone limit is for it, I know it grows in southern Missouri, Texas, Arkansas Oklahoma. Kind of expensive, too! Each flower only has one huge seed so it doesn't multiply very fast. This year I will have 4 seeds, last time it bloomed I had two. And they take a long time to germinate and a long time to get big enough to bloom, two or three years at least. I think it's one of our prettiest native wildflowers.
