This is a large hosta that I observed as one of the first to emerge this spring. He was also the first to flower ..... I'm thinking in May. Although the seed pods have not turned brown, the seeds inside have been black for a month now.

He is comprised of only 2 or 3 eyes. Largest leaf measures 8" wide, 9 1/2" long. He also seems to have some blue, although I did not notice this in the spring. To be honest I am new to appreciating my Hosta's and may not have been that observant .
