My friend Judy has/had this insane collection of Hosta. The last two years have really been hard on it. Between the fact that she has to much to properly water, and the last two years of long drought seasons, its sad.

Two years ago she was out of town when the 6 week early spring hit, so none of her plants got covered when the frosts hit.

This year all her gigantic plants are just.... well average ... she had a few gardens where you couldn't see the ground for knee deep Hosta for a hundred feet. Now so many of her 6 and 7 foot across plants are barely 3 foot wide. small leaves and clumps of Hosta where giants used to walk.

Some areas even look like they were planted in the last few years, and her gardens go back 20 years or more..

Its pretty sad.
