My Key West is not a big monster, although the stem of the single eyed plant is really fat. I just have trouble keeping it standing UP. Every breeze seems to blow the big leaves and it winds up leaning.

Don, I've seen those pictures somewhere else, but they had no text with them. I really enjoyed reading the text, as I did not know why she had to move all her hosta. That was in 2008? Or so I think. Wow, I wish I'd been around to get a piece of one major hosta, as a OS......my word that would be fantastic. I treasure the hosta I have which come to me as OS. Like I got Sam Spade in the latest benefit auction, and it was OS from Schmid......and I have Plumb Bob (OS from K. Sorensen) from last year's First Look I think, Some of the hosta from Van Wade were listed in the catalog as OS, and so I assume the ones he dug for me are that. I have a good feeling that the OS plants I'm growing are the real thing . An OS from Olga? priceless!

How about a hosta bigger than a Maple tree.

Speaking of 'monster size', that reminds me...Anybody remember this pic? A big-leaved NOID I bought last season. Was excited to see what it would look like this year, but fate has declared it a NOID forever. It never came up this Spring. Vole, I believe. : ( Bummer. Oh, well. Moving on. New days, new hostas!
