You're making great progress with one of my favorite hosta. Definitely my bluest. Very hardy an prolific here.

While we're on the subject, can someone tell me if the blue hosta planted between the trees is Halcyon?

Gosh, I wish my Halcyons would grow so good. I prolly need to try one in more sunlight and where it's not in competition with other roots. Whatever, it's a great hosta and everyone should have at least one Halcyon.

Donna, I don't think that hosta is Halcyon but I've no idea what it is. Maybe Bressingham Blue? The leaf shape doesn't look right for it to be Halcyon but then none of mine are that large.

Lovely 'Halcyon'! I have 2 of those, but mine are small divisions that I brought with me when I moved last year. I think it's one of the greatest blues of all time. It's very sun tolerant and holds the blue color nicely. I had mine in full afternoon sun at my old place and it never burned or faded.

My 'Halcyons' are the bluest hostas I have. They are very good growers, not affected much by slugs. I have some growing in afternoon sun in zone 5, they might get yellow a little probably due to not enough water, but color up blue again in fall. They are one of the last bloomers. Overall they are one of my best hostas. no problems, great growers, beauties!! Bernd
