There's a thread back in 2010 with several mature pics. Apparently, the jury was out on that hosta at the time.

I find this hosta to be an odd duck. Mine doesn't develop the lighter centers on the leaves until later in the season. Every time I see a picture of it in someone's garden it always looks different. I had the hardest time deciding if I even liked it, but I've decided I do like it for its uniqueness.

Here is mine from early May of this year. I think I like the early Spring version best.

It seemed strange to read all the negative comments in the other (2010) thread. Mine sits in pretty deep shade, gets very little sunlight, maybe that's the difference. It is shaded by cedar trees (immediately behind on the east and somewhat above it), by the house on the north side, by a garage on the south side, and by the big avenue (maple) trees on the west. Like I said, it's been a slow grower, having been in that spot for 3-4 years, but we'll see after this next year or two. It might do the 'leap' thing by then and surprise me! Anyway, I'm sticking with my story.... love this hosta :-)

You're welcome for the link, funnthsun. I happened to have it marked because I was looking at it a week or so ago while I was trying to figure out what was up with my plant.

It's interesting to me that in everyone's pics on this thread, the leaf colors and patterns look fairly uniform except for mine. I rescued mine out of a dry, rocky area that was stunting the growth, so maybe next year it will look totally different. This year, all of the leaves are different from each other. Some of them even remind me of those unstable streakers that people use for breeding. Just an observation.

Has anyone else noticed streaky leaves on theirs?
