Gold Standard progression

Just have to honor my virused GS which I dug out of the ground today.

Here it is new, a division from Mom. Yes, I took a very large piece of her hosta.

2012, has put on a lot of size. Gets some morning sun so glows bright.

Robust and huge earlier this year. About 3 feet across. But I started noticing some suspicious looking leaves. After consulting with the experts here on the forum, I am convinced it's a virus, probably HVX. Sooo... I dug her up this morning. She now is in a very large black trash bag and I have a huge hole in my garden.
