info request - Ninebark root invasion tendancies?

does anyone have one of these planted close to your hosta beds and have problems with it, like the infamous maple trees

I've had a diablo for about seven years, with hostas planted around it. No problems so far. My ninebark is about 6-7 ft. tall.

Since discovering that Wegelia and LIlac are problems, over and above our Red Pines, I'm leery of new things without asking.

I have Summer Wine, no problems. However, I have no problems with lilacs. I have Chinese lilac with Krossa Regal, Francee and Royal Standard for many many years, no problems.

Beverly, there are Wegalia and Forsythia by the Lilac, so they must be the culprits.

every hosta I ever planted under another wegelia started to choke to death
