Not really answering your question but wanted to comment that I got two Goodness Gracious this year, one that I picked up locally and one that was a bonus later in an order. I might just do the same thing and put them together. I know Goodness Gracious is a vigorous grower, so I can't imagine what it would look like with two together, but I think I'm gonna find out! :)

Mine's in its second year, but boy does it grow fast and get biiiig.

I love Great Expectations, so I think I need to get GA. Especially after seeing these pics.

I also cheated with GE, planted 3 together for huge impact! I think it's just gardening smarter, not harder!

That looks like a good one, Don. Steve, yours is really beautiful as well! I have been cheating by planting 2 or more plants myself this year. I'll admit it, I'm impatient! It's hard when I left my old place where I had lots of mature hostas to move to my new place. I could only take smallish pieces with me and now everything is all immature looking except for a couple. I think planting more than one division together is the way to go.

I have never planted two of the same hosta together, but it is something I could consider in the future. Just hadn't really thought of doing that.

I was eager to see what others views of Great Arrival was as I too now have two of them as of this year. The first one is a very young one, but the second one is a division of a mature GA with three eyes (just received this fall).

I see that Steve says that his grew fast. I look forward to seeing a lot of growth next year.

Here's a picture of my little Great Arrival in my parsley patch. Each one of these hosta do not measure more than 5 inches across.

Maybe we can compare notes next year.
