Late season blooms

hostahosta

I have never bought a hosta for its blooms, love the foliage. But many of them do have pretty flowers. Especially the late season bloomers. Here are a few pics from my garden today (after a rainstorm)

This one is Purple Heart, 6 scapes heavy with bloom.

HH...Am loving your kitties...Buggar is a gorgeous colour and obviously loves Mama's hosta! The orangey one reminds me of my first kitty...the hosta, blue one to the right of orange kitty...what is it? Quite beautiful.

The picture of Spritzer flower scape is stunning with that light all around it...you've taken a lot of care with these pics. Wow!

this concludes today's tour of what's still blossoming hostas wise here on hillbilly Ridge - I already here some of you saying thank goodness!

the light is failing & my back and knees are sore so I'll close with this sloppy picture of the razors edge - talk about heavily laden scapes...

After viewing these gorgeous pics, I feel like I was out for a great dinner and ate nothing but scrumptious dessert!

Thanks for the treat! Rest up, then come back with more, y'hear? Lol

    I know I know I said

but on the way back to the house I noticed that Sultana still has blooms - she's too tiny and low to the ground and the light is fading so no pics , oh hey look over there high society is blossoming still too

Y'all will get a break from me now since I have to make crab apple jam, can tomatoes, and the pear trees + a few more apple trees are going to get me busy soon too

I'll still find time to look at all your pretty pictures though!

    Jo,

The taller plant right of Mohawk the Orange Marmalade North American Barn Cat is Presidents Choice, and the shorter, shiny one on his other side is rupifraga, which has very nice flowers, just not now.

    hth,

    hh
